Say SawasDee

What am i gg to say abt the people & the beach???

"FANTASTIC!!!!
simply beautiful!!!"

When i jus got there, i feel soo excited. the ppl just smile & give you the most beautiful smile that i cant in Singapore no more....

I just wonder y the hell is singaporean not smiling.

the stress?
the hectic traffic?
the life?
or simply we singaporean dun smile?
yeah.... anyway i dun bother!!!

Yeap.... just came back from Phuket and was there for 4 days.....

Phew! what a fantastically & hectic week....all thanks to the RAIN RAIN RAIN!!!! (yet i can still get so TANNNNNNN w/o the sun) As with most things, you get what u pay, and paradise doesnt come cheap, but it does go on sales every once in a while. I was staying in Kamala Beach, AquaMarine Resort. Its a steal deal for me rewarding myself with the great room, 2 pools facing the sea and is about 2 minutes walk frm the beach.

I have nv been 2Phuket b4 so i dont know how was it like pre-tsunami. but judging frm wat i see, everything looks normal. you wouldnt have know tsunami had hit Phuket if not for the bits of destroyed building you see here & there and of cos the commemorative poster/postcard sold by the street vendors along the beaches. Phuket was so different frm Bangkok. Much quieter, no noisy tuk tuks. The tuk tuks in Phuket had 4 wheels against 3 in BKK. (haha... its take me minutes to accept its a tuk tuks). Its was low season and there wasnt as many tourist as imagin. Still there is always Patong for all the touristy bits and underbelly goings-on of the Phuket nightlife.

Patong is great or at least the centre where the Bangla Rd is, so many choices but i would not like to be there every nitz. Far too noisy for me but in the end we still end up spending our 3 full nights there cos nowhere else to go at night, fumbling along determing which will be a good eating & drinking venue.
